Giant Sale of Bamboo, Cycads and Palms

Quail Botanic Gardens, Encinitas
Bamboo, Cycads and Palms will be available in profusion at this special sale hosted by members of the Southern California Chapter of the American Bamboo Society and the Palm Society of Southern California. This one-of-a kind event features limited and rare bamboo, cycad and palm species from exceptional Southern California nurseries, collectors and local growers.
More than 100 varieties of bamboo are featured, some of which cannot be purchased anywhere else in the US. Bamboo crafts and products will also be available. At 10:00 am there will be an auction of rare bamboos. At 11:00 am there will be a tour of the palms and cycads at Quail Botanical Gardens and at 1:00 pm there will be a talk by Mark Riedler about Palms of Madagascar based on his travels there. Following will be a second speaker, Jeff Brusseau, on the palms of Central America and Madagascar.
0700 - set up sales area
0900 - perusal of the plants, palm sale begins 1000 - Auction of rare bamboos
1045 - The MAD DASH
1200 - 1300 - Board meeting
1300 - Two speakers
